Lakeside Beach Wedding Inspiration

Canada is a nation filled with innumerable lakes and vast lengths of ocean coastline, yet when most Canadian brides envision beach weddings, they automatically conjure up visions of tropical destinations brimming with bright florals in punchy hues and all their guests aglow with golden tans.  But let's face it, an exotic destination wedding is not for everyone, and more often than not the floral arrangements wind up being cheesy and the guests burned to a crisp.  Fear not, beach lovers of the north, there are options, and Vale + Vine is more than happy to share them.

Today's post shot by Megan Laura Photography features the languid waters of Ontario's Lake Erie captured at golden hour, and a collection of details that compliments the setting, evoking an organic, yet sophisticated ambience.  From the foliage bouquet to the bride's pale blue gown, from the calligraphy set on driftwood to the uncomplicated, romantic backdrop of the blue-grey horizon, everything about this inspirational shoot is attainable for a bride wanting an unconventional beach wedding.  If you are a lake-lover, check out this real wedding in the Lake of the Woods and this sunset wedding shoot on Okanagan Lake.
