Waterton Lakes Anniversary Session

These kind of backdrops are what I love most about the Canadian landscape.  They're accessible, authentic, and drop-dead  gorgeous.  When I saw this shoot by Canadian native Marcie Meredith (now based out of North Carolina), I thought, "Yes!  I want to see more of THIS!"  Our True North, Strong, and Free has so much to offer in terms of stunning locations and natural inspiration, and I love that Marcie was able to harness the beauty of Alberta's Waterton Lakes National Park to provide an incredible 10 year anniversary shoot for this lovely couple.  Speaking of anniversary sessions, Vale + Vine would love to feature more!  The celebration of marriage through photographs doesn't have to end with the wedding day, rather it can be carried on over the years as a way to commemorate all that a couple has been through during the course of their marriage.  What a gift that would be to one another not to mention inspiration to others also fighting for their marriages.

To see what Marcie is up to these days in North Carolina, take a peek at her work from this styled shoot on a private estate down south.  And if you are looking for more Rocky Mountain inspiration, check out this big sky engagement shoot by Orange Photographie shot across the border in Montana.
